We interrupt.....

your regular knitting viewing to bring you some sewing. At about 11pm Saturday night, I felt the need to bond with my sewing machine. So I started out with just this on Sunday morning. medium_100_0587.3.jpgThe reconstructed shirt didn't make it. It didn't turn out the way I expected. But here is the final view before it was added to the scrap pile. medium_100_0591.jpgBut the material and zippers turned into some cool skirts. medium_100_0592.jpgmedium_100_0597.jpgmedium_100_0600.jpgThe purple flower skirt is rather Hawiian looking, I think. Really like the way it turned out. And the black skirt was a fake-it-till-you-make-it deal. I made up the pattern as I went along. It is just five panels sewn together and I made four slits at the bottom of the skirt. I really like the way it turned out. I now return you to your regulary knitting.

The skirts look great! I am a big fan of skirts, and I like the length of them especially. Short enough to show you actually have "legs" and yet long enough to be "ladylike." I also took a peek at your sock yarn. Very nice colors. I hope learning to make the socks comes easy to you, because they do make great little gifts that are very useful. I'll hold up on the Mariah, because I can't really see it too well in it's current condition........LOL But I do like the idea of knitting both sleeves at the same time. I never thought of doing that, but I will in future. Have a great week!

I LOOOOOOOVE the skirts. You're gonna make me some right? I mean after all I am your favouritest little (E) sister. (Incase the J's read this, they'll think that it's the E thing. But we both really know that I AM your favouritest little sister ever *lol*). So when can I except to get those skirts in the mail? *lol* Am still working on the backpacks. Had to take a little break because I did get a little worn out on knitting for like a week. But now I am too back to my knitting. Love you like Hollywood loves quickie marriages, and miss you like punk rockers miss the 80's and liquid eyeliner.
