Only one week left

Yesterday was the last official day of the semester. Next week is more of a camp/babysitting week until Chinese New Year which is next weekend. And then it is two weeks off with no kids and no parents. There should be lots of knitting though. I have so many projects to finish or plan for. Just aren't enough hours in the day. Even so, I still have knitting pictures to show off. I was able to get a picture of the Pimp modeling his hat. I have to say, I am very unhappy with his hat. I should have taken out a repeat, thicker yarn, smaller needles, on and on and on. He seems very happy with it though. Guess that is all that matters, right? See for yourself. Please ignore the cropping skills as I had to get children out of the picture. medium_100_0824.3.jpgAnd I have finished a sock for myself. I found a toe-up, short row heel sock pattern that I wanted to try out. The idea behind it is that I can learn how to do short row heels and by working from the toe-up, I don't have to worry about running out of yarn before I am finished. Since this is the first one, there are lots of holes. And since this is the first pair of socks I have knit for myself, I have been wearing one sock since I finished it last night. medium_100_0825.jpg And there is a picture of the second sock as well. The goal is that in a few weeks I will have several more completed projects to show. The Pimp left last night for his trip back home and in about three weeks, I should have some more yarn to work with. I will have more yarn to work with. He had to borrow my suitcase for his trip (does that not make me the biggest whore ever) and I left a note in the bottom telling him what is at his parents' house.  medium_100_0826.jpgmedium_100_0827.jpgmedium_100_0828.jpg

I love the socks. I haven't gotten up the whatever to try toe-up yet, so I am very impressed with what you have done, holes or no holes!! You been far braver than I.......haha
