Even better than before......
My little room in Leeds is becoming more and more my room. I was finally able to get some pictures up the past week. I just had to get the picture frames for them. Now, you may notice that there are no pictures of my niece Phoenix on my walls. That is because her mother hasn't bothered to send me any print pictures of her so I can put them up. But there are plenty of pictures of Brandon and Kirstin up there. Even put some of the ones Rhi gave me up as well. Cause those kids are just that cute.

Still trying to get all my internet stuff done at the library. But supposedly, internet and everything is going to be installed today. Who knows though. Until then, this is what I have to use.
There is has been some knitting going on here in Leeds. I missed this month's knitting group because I completely forgot about it. I can only once a month because of the way my classes are scheduled. There is always next month. In knitting news, I finished a shrug for someone. She is the little sister of a friend of mine. 
I also knit myself a headband out of Rowan Denim using the Cozy pattern from Knitty.com. Since I am at the library I am not putting links and all that in. I love it and it is really comfortable. 
I finished another scarf using the Lopi yarn I bought while I was still in Maryland. The edging is basketweave stitch and the middle is plain ol' stockinette stitch. I have woven the ends in since the pictures were taken. Now that I have another warm scarf finished, the weather here has warmed up. 
I am also working on the Montego Bay scarf from Interweave Knits Summer 2007 (or is it Spring). I am using Rowan Kidsilk Aura for it and loving it. But I just LOVE the Kid and Kidsilk line they have. I even have a ball of Rowan Kid Classic to play around with. I am thinking of making another headband with it. 
The black cardigan is making progress as well. After having to basically re-knit the whole thing, I have finished the body of it. I am now working on the sleeves. I have been told it looks more like a hedgehog than a cardigan right now.

Thank you........
I received a package in the mail today from my best friend Davi. After I left her house this summer, a package from my friend Chris arrived for me. So Davi included that in with the big one. My friend Chris sent me a lizard to hang on my wall and a new handbag. Used it already. Thank you to Chris for these. 
Davi sent me a bunch of stuff as well. It made my week all the little goodies she sent. There is stuff for me to use on my feet. I hate having rough skin on my feet and like to keep my polish on my toenails.
I also love Jack (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Happy Bunny.
There are long socks to keep my feet warm. 
And the hearts on the blue ones are fuzzy!
Plus there is some Avon for me as well. Let me just say, Davi loves me.

My new place
Here are photos of my room in Leeds. I tried to make sure it looked at least semi-clean. You know, pushed the laundry all the way down into the hamper and all that good stuff. I really do use the rug Davi knitted for me. I have a shelf for my knitting projects as well. There is a serious lack of pictures on the walls right now. But I am working on it. But having an attic room does have some disadvantages, like only having 1/2 a room to work with.

Yeah..........
for thiefing wifi from the neighborhood!!!!! Though not always a reliable connection, I use what I have available. So in the interest of getting caught up with blogging and posting, I am going to start off with some pictures of an amazingly cute niece. When I left, she was smiling and laughing and becoming ticklish. She still looks like her Mommy did, but with dark hair instead of blonde. And as time goes on, and when I get internet connection, I will post more. Then has been some knitting and such going on. Plus the whole being a student thing. There is a picture of my niece with her Mommy and a picture of my niece and I together.
