Self Portrait-Blue Week 4
Not only do I have the normal pregnancy symptoms to deal with, I have been classified as a high-risk pregnancy due to the diagnosis of my daughter having Turner's Syndrome. That means instead of having two x chromosomes like most females, she only has one. Effects-short in height, inability to conceive children naturally, and possible heart problem. (Have to wait until the April appointment with the pediatric cardiologist to find out a more conclusive diagnosis with that). Needless to say, I am nervous and worried about every little thing I do. Even though the doctor has said everything should be ok from now on. So sitting downstairs on the sofa is uncomfortable after a while. Throw in all the reading I need to do for school, I spend a lot of time in my room. Enjoy listening to my iTunes while reading or writing. I am comfortable and apparently my little girl is too. I can feel her moving so much more when I am up here, relaxed and comfortable.

Beginning, Middle, End
They are finished, completed, turned in for grading. And I am loving the freedom of not having to worry about them. The papers for school I had to write. I will have more, but for the time being not every free moment is taken up by writing.
I have also finished up this little hat for a special little girl.
Because I have finished my school writing, for the next few weeks at least, then I actually have time to knit. I have started the Tender BlankieBlankie pattern with KnitCotLin CotLin yarn in purple.
I started on a Calorimetry in Rowen Tapestry yarn. Not sure how I feel about it and may rip it out. The stitches are quite loose and not every elastic for a head band.
I am still in the middle of knitting what I now call the forever scarf. I am about 2/3 of the way finished. If I am lucky, I will get it finished before winter is over and might have a chance to wear it once.
I am still working, very slowly, on the center out blanket. Starting to warm up to it and hope that the baby who gets it will like it.
The biggest thing I have been working on is now 21 weeks and 1 day in the making, a little girl, my little one. She was quite a surprised when I finally realized I was pregnant. But her estimated due date is June 20th and I can't wait to meet her.

7 Random Things
Sandie tagged me to post 7 random things about myself. Since papers for school are now finished, for the time being, I might actually have time to post something. Give me a day or two to ease myself back into the regular world though.
1. I haven't read a non-school related book since this summer. I can tell you all kindness of coolness about formative assessment and some neato stuff about andragogy though.
2. I didn't knit a single things in the past several weeks. All my free time got sucked up into paper writing for this thing called a Master's degree I am working on.
3. I am on Ravelery, but haven't updated that either in who knows how long. Notice the theme here of school is taking away from my knitting and computer time and life? This break of freedom is only good for a few weeks.
4. I think my belly button is one of the weirdest parts of my body. Don't know why, it just is.
5. I have developed a new knitting bug. I feel the need to knit toy animals. Maybe I can use up the little bit of stash I have that way. I still have my scarf obsession, one can never have too many scarves.
6. I hate wearing hats, period. I forced my self to wear one last year for about a month when I was traveling through Siberia, Russia, and Poland. I generally keep my ears warm by wearing a really wide headband.
7. My least favorite colors are pink and orange and my favorite color is purple.
