Thankful Friday
It has been a bit easier to see some good in life this week. Finding things to be thankful for is easier this week than the past few weeks. I am thankful for,
1. An awesome neighbor
2. That my computer still turns on some days (the mother board is dying and every day that it turns on so I can type on my thesis is a reason to be thankful.)
3. I am 1/4 of the way done my thesis to date
4. Every smile my little girl gives me
5. My Dad

Total Insanity.............
I hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas. I received a fabulous gift this year, the first pair of socks my best friend ever knitted. They are really comfy, she made them extra long for me :-), and I am just excited about having them.
She also sent me some yarn that I am knitting into a blanket. I am not sure how I feel about it just yet though. So it is going to sit in the knitting bag while I have a think about it.
I am knitting it from the center out.
I finished knitting Quant from the latest edition of Knitty.com. I am not very happy with the way the one end turned out. I like symmetry in my headbands.
I also bought myself some yarn to make myself some more headbands. I don't like wearing hats, but need to keep my ears warm. So I have found that nice, wide headbands work for me.
The red yarn is for another panta and the purple yarn is for a calorimetry.
(Don't ask me to put links in today) I have some more yarn that I am saving for someone special.

I was in Asia............
That is/was my excuse for not knowing about something. Did you hear about this band? Nope, I was in Asia, they didn't make it that far. Did you get to see this movie. Nope, I was in Asia, didn't make it to the theatres there. Did you hear this latest bit of news or celebrity gossip? Nope, I was in Asia and that didn't make the headlines.
A few weekends ago, the monkey and I decided to head out of Leeds for a Saturday and visit the Bronte Family Parsonage. It is a beautiful house and the monkey and I were both impressed with it. We only got to take pictures from the outside though. The was lovely as well.
But what really impressed the monkey was something he hadn't seen before. And something I hadn't seen in a while because I was in Asia. The monkey was so interested that he had to try playing in the leaves just to see what it was like. I think he enjoyed it

Even better than before......
My little room in Leeds is becoming more and more my room. I was finally able to get some pictures up the past week. I just had to get the picture frames for them. Now, you may notice that there are no pictures of my niece Phoenix on my walls. That is because her mother hasn't bothered to send me any print pictures of her so I can put them up. But there are plenty of pictures of Brandon and Kirstin up there. Even put some of the ones Rhi gave me up as well. Cause those kids are just that cute.

My new place
Here are photos of my room in Leeds. I tried to make sure it looked at least semi-clean. You know, pushed the laundry all the way down into the hamper and all that good stuff. I really do use the rug Davi knitted for me. I have a shelf for my knitting projects as well. There is a serious lack of pictures on the walls right now. But I am working on it. But having an attic room does have some disadvantages, like only having 1/2 a room to work with.
